Maple is another timber that suits bedrooms well, giving lightness and space as well as durability. The use of solid timber instead of the often used veneered MDF enables large doors without a feeling of fragility. Notice the shape of the ceiling, which could have posed problems for "off the shelf" manufactured installations. By designing and making to suit the room, rather than adapting stock ready made parts, I can maximize the use of space and produce a unit that is part of the room, rather than an intrusion into it.

A matching dressing table with mirror and matching stool completes the bedroom suite.
Note also the blanket chest at the foot of the bed as well as the bedside tables with drawers. No need to hunt around for individual pieces of furniture when you can have the entire suite made to your requirements, without compromise. |
In a small room, Maple gives lightness, and the incorporation of a full length mirror in the middle door helps open out the room even more.
